About Us

Alwin Trading (PTY) LTD is a company that specialize in organic moringa farming and agro-processing. The Company is owned by Mr Avhashai Alwin Makhale of Tshivhilwi Alwin General trading is located at Tshifudi village ,operating at a 3 Ha farm that grows herbs mainly moringa, Hibiscus , lemongrass and artemisia afra. These products are further processed into moringa capsules, tea bags , powder and tissue oils. The farm is located at Thulamela Municipality, Vhembe District, Limpopo Province. The location was chosen because of its climate condition. Moringa is a tropical plant that grows well in hot or warm environments and Thulamela is one of the few regions around south Africa with favorable climate conditions for growing moringa commercially. 

Alwin general trading is the award winning youth owned company for best in agriculture 2018. 2019 and furthermore 2023 Vhembe SMME award winner under agriculture. The company currently employs 6 people with 4 of them being women and youth.

The company processes the leaves into moringa powder, dried leaves, capsules, tea bags and seeds into oil. Alwin General Trading (PTY) LTD was established in the year 2014. The company is 100% black youth owned.

Alwin General Trading (pty)LTD has been part of the research project conducted by University of Venda (UNIVEN) student on moringa. The company sponsored the leaves to the university throughout the entire project. The research findings show that moringa can be used successfully to help combat one of the biggest challenges in Africa which is malnutrition in children. company has exhibited locally and nationally and also exhibited at Rand
Easter Show 2018.
